What areas do you cover?

We deliver across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. If you are just outside that area, share your postcode and we will check whether we can reach you.

What fuels do you supply?

For homes we supply heating oil (kerosene), premium heating oil and premium Aga heating oil. For commercial use we supply HVO, ultra low sulphur diesel and ultra low sulphur gas oil (red diesel). For marine we supply FAME free marine fuel over 60c flash, delivered to your vessel. For agriculture we supply ultra low sulphur gas oil (red diesel) and ultra low sulphur diesel.

What is the minimum order?

Our minimum delivery is 500 litres.

How do I get a price?

Use the instant quote tool on our website. Choose your fuel, your quantity and your delivery vehicle, then enter your full postcode and email and we will price it for you. You can also call the team on 01825 840931.

What is HVO?

HVO is a renewable alternative to traditional diesel and gas oil, made from waste fats and vegetable oils. It works in most existing tanks, boilers and engines, so you can move to a lower carbon fuel without replacing your equipment. It burns cleaner, stores longer than ordinary diesel because it is FAME free, and works as a direct swap for red diesel in most plant and machinery.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes, PayPal Pay in 3 is available on home heating oil so you can spread the cost.

Does someone need to be home to accept the delivery?

No. Most deliveries happen when no one is home. We just need access to the tank, the tank to be unlocked and easy to find, and instructions on which tank to fill if there is more than one. If there is a locked gate, we are happy to deliver as long as you give us the gate code. We post a stamped ticket through your letterbox showing how much we delivered.

How much notice of delivery will I get?

Our routing is usually finalised late the day before, so we give as much notice as we can. Please give a mobile number when ordering so we can send updates, or an alternative number and we will aim to call you the day before.

Can I choose a specific day for delivery?

We offer several delivery window options online. If you need a specific day, it is best to call the office on 01825 840931 so we can check availability.

Can I ask for my tank to be filled without giving a volume?

Our online system cannot do this. You can over order, and we will refund or hold on credit anything we could not fit in the tank.

I have an Aga, can I still order?

Yes. Choose KERO AGA when you order and your kerosene will be supplied with the Aga additive included.

My boiler needs a specialist premium additive, can I still order?

Yes. Choose KERO EXTRA when you order and your kerosene will come with the specialist premium additive included.

What is the cut off time for next day emergency delivery?

The cut off is 3pm on a working day. Orders placed after 3pm, or on a non working day, count as placed on the next working day. Weekends and bank holidays are not working days.

Do you deliver at weekends?

Our delivery team normally works Monday to Friday. In busier times we can sometimes deliver at a weekend with prior approval. Call the office if you have a specific need.

Can you do same day emergency delivery?

Same day cannot be booked online because we cannot always guarantee it. If we can accommodate it we will, so please call the sales team on 01825 840931.

Do you have a baby tanker for tight access?

Yes, we are one of the few companies in the area to offer this. Choose Baby Tanker when ordering, or call the team to talk through your access.

What if my tank cannot take the full amount I ordered?

We will either refund the undelivered amount or hold it on credit towards a future order.

How do I pay, and what cards do you take?

All orders are payment in advance. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not accept American Express.

Can I order over the phone instead of online?

Yes. Call the sales team on 01825 840931 and they will place your order and take payment.

Were you previously called Local Fuels?

Yes. We have been trading since 1997 and Local Fuels is now Southern Energy. Same team, same phone number, new name.
