Other storage on your device

Cookies are not the only way a website can store something on your device. Our home page loads a script from PayPal, which shows PayPal's own message about the ways you can pay. When the home page loads, that script stores one item in your browser's local storage for this website and contacts PayPal so it knows what message to show. When we tested it, it set no cookies of its own.

The message itself is drawn by PayPal inside a frame on the page. Anything PayPal stores or reads inside that frame is PayPal's, not ours, and is covered by PayPal's own privacy and cookie statements at paypal.com.

Clearing site data in your browser removes the stored item along with cookies.
